East Riddlesden Hall Wedding

With no weddings happening for me this year, I thought it was high time that I started sharing some of my beauties from last year and what better couple to share than Kim & Stew! Documenting their wedding was a pure joy, not because the whole day was a fun from start to finish but this is also the 3rd wedding from Kim’s friendship group, her gang of girls that are the best, that Ive had the pleasure of documenting.

Kim now lives in sunny down under with Stew (he’s from there). So she planned her wedding from afar and did an amazing job. They had their boho inspired day at East Riddlesden Hall, a stunning National Trust property nestled in Yorkshire and a 10 minute drive from where they were both getting ready in the morning. Because of the locations being so close and the timings that were set up, I was able to document a little bit of Stew and the boys  before  I moved onto  see the girls.

Kim and Stew are the kind of couple that think about everybody. They want everyone to be included and are genuinely some of the nicest people you’re going to meet! They love hard and you can see that with their family and friends. To get to the venue they hired a vintage double decker  bus for some of their guests and the bridal party. And let me tell you, it wasn’t a silent ride. We had a singing competition going off between to the 2 floors, and I have to say, I think the top deck won 😉 Go team bride!!

Their ceremony was a humanist one, which I LOVE. You learn about the couple and people get to involved. During their vows selected people were asked to come place ribbons around them, reminding us all that a wedding isn’t just about the day, its about what happens on every other day. The good and the bad. The easy days and the tough ones and knowing that you’re not in this alone. Your friends and family and the ones you keep around you are all here for you. Cheering you on from the sidelines, ready to help when you need.

From the ceremony onwards it was all about fun. The sun was shining, the drinks were flowing and we all know that makes a mix of Yorkshire folk and Australians pretty happy 😉

Kim and Stew, thank you SO much for allowing me to be apart of your day and for letting me back in to this beautiful group of people that you call friends.
