What you’ll notice pretty quickly about Dom and Katie is how much they laugh together. They share a very easy way of being together, the kind of ease that happens when you’ve known each other nearly your entire life. It’s relaxed, effortless and to be quite honest addictive – you can’t help but want to be around them. On top of them being ridiculously in love they are also both funny and stylish, making Grangefields Wedding venue the perfect reflection of them. I first met them both years at go at Lloyd and Katie’s wedding and there must be something In the water down there because they make wedding days seem effortless at another level!
As usual I started the morning with the girls at Katies & Dom’s home and my fab second shooter Lucy started with the guys. We were absolutely blessed with good weather on the day, that dreamy September sunshine that makes everything glow. We then headed onto Grangefields which is part of the Cripps and Co Company who do style and simplicity at a high level as standard. The ceremony room was stunning. No fuss, bare walls, huge candelabras and beautiful chairs filled with Dom and Katie’s favourite people waiting to watch them say YES and I Do. They had a humanist wedding which I must say I love. They are so personal and you really feel like you get to know more about the couple than you would do in an ordinary setting.
From then on out, the day flowed. It’s a cliché I know, but what is a better atmosphere to be around than people who are happy and having a great time. Wine flowing and great food being served. I also have to say that the team at Grangefields were impeccable to work with. They had everything covered and were one step ahead the entire day. Their hospitality even extended over to us who were working. Keeping us fed and hydrated and always working together to keep a smooth running day.
You will have probably have guessed that their evening got underway as well as the rest of the day with an amazing band and full dance floor.
Dom and Katie, thank you for an absolute amazing and beautiful day, it was a pleasure to be apart of it and share it with you.
I did want to try and keep this blog light, but I couldn’t, it was way.too.gorgeous.
