My job is one of the best. I’ve said it before but its true. Jonathan and Vanessa’s wedding was no exception to my opinion of this. I joined them for their July wedding, when the sun was fantastically hot to document the day they sealed their love with I do in front of their family and friends.
I joined Vanessa at the hair salon, with champagne and strawberries. The only way to start your day!Vanessa had heavy input on her Victoria Walker Boutique hair slide. It was truly stunning. ( I also couldn’t recommend Victorias designs enough – they are beautiful! )
Loved the final look!
At this particular wedding I had the pleasure of a second shooter – Kirsten Platt – who took care of prep at the boys end.
Back over at team bride I got the details. Vanessa is the creative type and created her bouquet herself. I thought it was so pretty & matched her dress perfect. She also customised her shoes from Rainbow.
That dress….
After a final lipstick application she made a grand entrance down her parents stair case an climbed into her carriage.
I love this casual shot of the girls!! So natural.
And the boys – being all cool!
Back at The Woodlands, guests chatted, drank champagne and enjoyed the summer’s day.
….. whilst I took Jonathan and Vanessa for portraits.
I *love* this picture.
An extra benefit of a second shooter is getting pictures of yourself at work.
And bending my back into these positions makes me thankful for my Yoga!
Before we went in for dinner they bridal party released balloons which looked so pretty!
The marquee was dressed up! It brought the outside in, with trailing Ivy, wishing wells, wood and flowers.
The speeches were everything that good speeches should offer. Fun, love, a bit of embarrassment and laughs!
After dinner, I got this little cutie in front of the camera,Rayne, their oldest daughter.
The reception got underway with a photobooth…
After the Father & Daughter dance, Vanessa changed into another bridal gown (from Pronovias) for her first dance.
And then this is where the fun really started. The dance off between Team Bride and Team Groom. It was brilliant. Each team took it in turns to out-dance the other to various tracks – and it was a complete surprise to the rest of the guests!
Like all good receptions, the dance floor was packed and the moves were out!
Jonathan and Vanessa, thank you for such a fabulous day! If you would like to see more of their wedding at their wedding website- click here!
