So the first month of the year happened already. I know that it seems like I’ve been quite and that’s because I have. January was a month of indulgence for me, but not the bad kind. Getting my butt to the gym and getting happy in the kitchen and early nights.At the end of December I was ready for some changes. I had let a few lb’s creep on and my gym card had gathered a little bit of dust. But hey ho, that’s how December cam sometimes roll. But I really wanted January to be month of getting it sorted. So I went all out with my Paleo #Whole30. I was actually quite impressed with myself, bar a couple of occasions I stuck to it. Coupled with hitting the gym 5/6 days a week I managed to lose 4.5lb – and yeah, I may have high-fived myself.
My year of travelling kicks off in Barcelona for a friends hen party and I was determined that this year would be the year I actually felt good about being on the other side of the lens. I’m never going to love it don’t get me wrong, but knowing that I am being conscious about things makes you feel that bit better somehow.
I’m going to treat February like January but maybe not quite so dry but with an extra effort of kicking my own butt at the gym. Here is to a Feb 2/12 of what is going to be a brilliant year!
