I’m a totally believer in work hard play hard. My playing comes in the form of travel. I love it, its part of me and I don’t think there is a place in the world I wouldn’t try. We live in a beautiful world and I plan on experiencing as much of it as possible. But, once place that has a little part of me is California. I love this place. I think mostly I love the memories that I have here and the amazing experiences, but the weather, light and food alone makes it a winner. This kind of weather at the minute, is really making me thinking of the sunshine. So I started sorting my pictures to put into an album and thought I would blog a few as well. I took so many pictures but thought I would share just a tiny few.
Last year we travelled to California with Jim’s family. We went to San Francisco where we walked miles up and down the hills. Travelled to Napa to taste wine, whilst the temperature was hitting 100. Laughed and talked over beautiful food. Went to our regular haunts from the year before, making us feel like locals creating the perfect end to a busy summer.
I loooooved this night. Probably because I was wrapped up toasty out in the fresh air, with no rain, surrounded by food stalls. I wanted to take more pictures, but seriously my hands were full of food (and drink) the whole time.
Me and Jim went for a walk one morning and stumbled up on a random coffee house, which was great. Kinda felt like we were the only ones that knew about it. Us and the other customers 😉
I’ve been to San Francisco twice, and I still havent rode the tram. Whats wrong with me!
We tried going for a run one morning, I borrowed Jims sister in law’s trainers. Turned out they didn’t fit. So I had to the walk back without them.
Long Beach – here I attended a mentor session with Love Ala. This lady is craaaazy talented! I still havent managed to fully process that whole day. It changed my thinking and up’d my game big time. Changes are coming as a result of that, and I cant wait to show and share.
Santa Monica is an amazing place. I’m still trying to twist Jim’s arm to move there. Just for a little while.
Me and Jim hired a car which we drove from Long Beach up to San Simeon and back down to LA. We drove by the side of the ocean on the 01 highway and stopped off whenever we felt. We didn’t have any hotels pre booked, we just got on the road using a free car hire map and navigated down the coast.
I realised that I didn’t have a clue how to eat crabs… with legs this long I think most people would struggle. Jim helped by laughing and taking a picture.
After San Fran, we headed to Long Beach by ourselves, then to Santa Monica then drove up the coast. We met back up with the family at San Simeon and its beautiful Sunsets.
The next day we were back on the road headed to our final stop. Montecito in Santa Barbara.
I love this picture of Jims Sister in Law and his niece Annie.
Happy Tuesday xx
