After paying my money I speed walked over to the car, flung my bag on the passenger seat and opened the envelope. I sifted through the prints, putting down the ones that hadn’t worked, sifting through the ones that had. I just had my roll of film developed. Well, technically that is a white lie, the first roll of film didn’t work. So I quickly bought a second and used it in about a day.My subjects were just who and what was around me, which consisted of me, my cats, Elijah, my sister and Jim. Oh and not forgetting the walls in my office, clothes, plants and paths. I know, total rock and roll!!
But, even though I was just playing just to get into the swing of things – it worked. Some of them I actually love. But its the feel of a picture in your hand I love the most. I think this is why I love film and Polaroid so much, because you can touch it. And the way you have to wind on – taking you away from happy snapping.I’m definitely not ready to shoot a wedding just yet but maybe a portrait session…
