The ripple effect that happens when meeting people is incredible. Through one place in time, you meet a person that leads you to another and so on. Years ago I worked at Thomas Cook for a brilliant manager called Fiona. When I left Cooks we stayed in touch. When she had her beautiful little girl I photographed her and have done all the years since. Through Fiona I met her sister, Lauren. Lauren decided to book me for a maternity shoot a few months ago, it was March in fact. She had just about 7 weeks or so left before her birth and we decided that was a great time for some shots. She would have a proper bump to show off. Lauren absolutely shone. She had that beautiful maternity glow and just looked so excited and truly happy for the expectancy of their new bundle.
We started the shoot with herself and Brendon.
.. and then Lexi decided she wanted to be involved.
And then it was just momma to be. Here are a few favourites…
Beautiful. Beautiful.Beautiful.
this shot of Lauren & Lexi is one of my favourites! If you are a pet owner – you know how we love them!
And then I return. In June. The weeks of waiting had passed and little miss beautiful arrived. Layla.
It must be quite an incredible feeling. From all the months of waiting & thinking about them. How will they look? How will they feel? And then they are here, and it’s perfect. The look, the sound and the feel of them is more than natural to you. It’s now part of you.
Thank you so much Brendon, Lauren & Layla for letting me get a little glimpse into your love. xx
