Grandma Eileen’s Affordable Vintage & The Style Creative.

A few Saturday mornings ago, I woke up and with a 2 hour window met Laura and Fran for a modern styled fashion shoot in Leeds. With a  vintage twist. We spent the first part of the 2 hours getting acquainted ( it was the first time me and Fran had met ) over coffee. Sometimes you can spend a day shooting  to get what you need or want. On a breezy Saturday morning in February in just over an hour I had got more than one shot that  I wanted and loved . Being around these ladies got me inspired and fired up. Collaborating with creative people is good, it rub’s off on you. To the point that I came home smiling  and started writing down ideas. Sounds over the top, maybe, but that’s how I felt so I’m sticking to it!

I think what helped the shoot work so well was that we were all singing from the same sheet. We wanted pretty much similar results with the same feel.  Let me give you a little background on the ladies. Laura (Grandma Eileen’s Affordable vintage) sells amazing vintage. I have bought a fair few pieces myself and can totally vouch for her clothes. Fran is a Vintage style blogger and is chief blogger at The Style Creative. She blogs on her own website and can offer up some pretty fabulous style advice.  Only certain people can wear a spotty dress, gold shows, green coat, blue fur collar, top it off with a red turban and looks great! Fran is one of these people.
