A while ago me and Jim surprised his mum in the park with a picnic for her birthday. One of the things we used to decorate were these really cute and easy to make pom poms. We hung from the tress above the table and they really did look quite pretty. A friend asked me how to make them, so I thought I would share it here as well.
This is how I used them…
What you need.
*Tissue paper
*Scissors
*white wire ideally ( i only had blue)
*floral wire
Steps
1.Stack eight 20-by-30-inch sheets of tissue. Make 1 1/2-inchwide accordion folds, creasing with each fold.
2.Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, and slip over center of folded tissue; twist. With scissors, trim ends of tissue into rounded or pointy shapes.
3.Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time.
4.Tie a length of monofilament to floral wire for hanging.
Step 5. Discard any bits of tissue paper onto your four legged helper! 😉
so funny! I just learned to make these last week for a window display!
These are beautiful! Would look fab with jam jars for candle holders!
