When I arrived at the Manor House, everyone was busy finalising the finishing touches to the ceremony room, except Jessica, she was starting to get ready for the fabulous day that was ahead. Karl and Jessica’s wedding was the perfect reflection of them both. The whole flow and feel of the day was natural, unforced, relaxed, charming and beautiful. Jessica had been collecting items for her vintage feel wedding for about 18 months and I can confidently say that it paid off. The attention to detail was so stunning, and personal.
Their reception room was filled with bunting and lace. Tulips were placed in mason jars ,placed on top of books that had been wrapped in brown paper to act as center pieces. China teacups with personalised tags acted as favours for the ladies and wooden name badges attached to wine glasses for the men. Just before the meal packages were given to one man from each table,the packages were personalised aprons – so they could carve the meat for the table!! I loved that idea..Oh and I couldn’t forget the desert. In stead of just the one – they had a table. Yes, a table dedicated to desert. A little slice of heaven right there!!
Even though it was an early May wedding there was a slight chill in the air, but the weather stayed dry and Karl and Jessica showed me a glimpse of their love. As they laughed, embraced, talked and walked together I felt honoured to be able to document their day, but most importantly their love. Karl and Jessica, I cannot say enough nice things about you. Your genuine kindness and the way you are together is beautiful. And I know that you have a very beautiful marriage ahead of you.
