No one likes to admit that they don’t get it. When some one is explaining something to you and all you hear is words – none of which can make any sense. That was so me. When I first started out in photography I wanted to learn as much as possible but didn’t want to admit that I knew nothing. I love to read, but that’s when im reading for me or the business. Reading a manual would make my eyes heavy and my mind fret, the information just wouldn’t absorb fast enough. Through time  I found courage to ask my peers questions that sounded (probably were) dumb. But I asked, and most importantly I learned.

Not too long ago I found a photographer called Christine Meintjes, from south africa. From following her I found KIKI. Kiki is a playground for photographers. It should be known as a life line. Its great. If you are starting out or have even been in this game for a while, check out the playground, it’s where the kids with knowledge hang and help.  Got Photoshop issues? – head here. Dont know what to put in client contracts? – head here. Just struggling with the basics? – head here. Want to meet new friends? – head here. But, one of the best parts of this is that they have a FaceBook group, and anyone can join! Oh yeah and did I mention its free!!?!?

It doesn’t matter what ever level your on, it’s always good to feel part of a community.
