I stood in the airport lounge and looked through the book section. I always travel with a book, even for a train journey, but especially when I’m taking a flight. The longer the flight sometimes the better it is, hours of undisturbed reading!! It’s all about the simple things. As I stood in front of the row of books, I quietly smiled at the amount of titles I had already read. Sad – I know. But that’s me, a total book-worm. Normally I read quite fast and finish books quite quick, but this last one has been on been for a while, however I have read a couple of books in between which could have been the cause for the slow progress. But I’m down to the last couple of hundred pages, so am hopefully going to be finished in the next couple of Days. The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett is such a good read. I wasn’t sure how I was going to take to it at first. But its written so well that it doesn’t take you long to love it. It a nutshell its about the building of a cathedral and the lives intertwined around it. However, when this finished I need a new one and my reading material needs replenishing. Does anyone know of any good reads? I love finding new authors, so please, pass on some titles!!
I may be behind you here but on my stack at the moment is…
Fifty shades of Grey
Pigeon English
The sense of an Ending
Enjoy your trip and give Jim a bday high five for me.
