I don’t get to do as many winter weddings as summer ones, but when I do I love them, especially at Ripley Castle. When they are done in style, with fabulous people, on crisp winter days.
So, back in December just before Christmas I had the pleasure of joining Rob and Nicola on their wedding day. I started with Nicola, the girls and her family and her parents house and my second shooter Jamie met the guys at church(Trinity Methodist Church) in Harrogate.
One thing about these two, is their thoughtfulness. Nic created a personalised santa sack for all her bridesmaids which included a whole host of personalised gifts!!
I also loved the way they bought a christmas feel into the day but kept it classy and with their colour scheme. Some of the details were, the stockings that had reindeer names on and hearts as the seating plan and the reindeer’s as table names on the tables themselves. The snow globes. The home-baked dessert table – because Nic finds it relaxing to bake. In fact I think she even broke her fabulous shoes whilst baking – Nic am I wrong? 😉
I also just want to take a moment to have a bit of dress appreciation. I get to see SO many beautiful dresses and I think this year has been some of my favourites. In fact I may just do a blog on the dresses some day – but Nic’s dress was STUNNING. I loved how it looked like she just had lace on her arms. SO beautiful!
Rob and Nicola created a day that was laid back, stress free classy and fun. Everything a good day should be. Guys, thank you so much for letting me and Jamie be a part of it – it was brilliant! You are a pair that are so wonderfully matched. You keep each other smiling, think of others and don’t take life too seriously. Here is to an amazing start to a beautiful marriage.
Here are a few from their day.
