The Coniston Hotel Wedding – Jody & Maria

A few weeks ago, on the cusp of Spring I had the pleasure of documenting the wedding day of Jody and Maria. Straight from the offset their wedding was fun! I started off with the girls and my second for the day, the very lovely Charlotte from Soul Images,started with the boys.

Maria had the most beautiful dress, which was swoon worthy and a fabulous pair of heels. Such a beautiful bride,and that smile, that stayed with her all day! After Maria was ready, and the girls had left the room, Maria poured two glasses of Champagne. One for her, one for her dad. She wanted to have a few moments just the two of them together.

Maria and her dad obviously share a close relationship. When he opened the door and saw her for the first time, tears fell. Seeing so much love come from one person to another is an over whelming feeling, one I never tire of. The ceremony was held at St Mary & St Cuthbert at Bolton Abbey,where everyone was getting excited for the bride. After the ceremony we stepped outside for a few family portraits – where the smiles kept coming. The reception was held at The Coniston Hotel, where a piano player entertained the guests while they chatted and laughed and began to celebrate the new Mr and Mrs Creech. Even though the day was dry it was SO windy. However, Jody and Maria were champions and agreed to come down near the lake just for a few shots. The wedding speeches were just as they should be. Funny, heartfelt and fun. For the evening reception Jody and Maria hired a magician. Sometime there can be a bit of gap between the day and evening reception, but not here. Guests were kept fully spellbound 😉 After a beautiful first dance, Jody and Maria where joined with their family and friends, where they stayed all night. Dancing, enjoying life and making memories. Jody and Maria, thank you for a beautiful day and for allowing me to be apart of it. xxxx
