When I first started weddings, my voice was a little quieter. I didn’t quite fully know how to advise me clients how I wanted them to get the better picture. The one which i saw working the best.I found it hard to direct them away from in front of the particular background because after all that was maybe one of the reasons they picked the venues. But what good is a lovely back drop with everyone squinting and the light not being the most complimentary.Or it just not feeling right.
At a wedding this last week, whilst doing the formals, I asked the bridal party to walk with my to a field entrance at the top of the car park. Nothing to far away – the weather was playing hit and miss and I wanted to make the best of it whilst I had the chance. On my way there, staff members advised that the usual place for formals is on the grass. I kindly thanked them for their advice, but advised that it wouldn’t be the best on account of the wet grass and the ladies heels. I didn’t want to say that I didn’t want it to be like everyone else for them, I wanted them to have more. But like I said, I thanked him for his help, explained about the heels and walked with the party to the top of the car park. You would have never have known we stood at the top of the car park thanks to the gated entrance to a field and the bunting that hung over head. So if I ask you to walk to a spot that you may want to raise an eyebrow at, please bear with me, I want to give you the best memories I see.
