Sometimes it feels like there is just never enough of it.Time that is.When you feel like your week needs another day or your day some extra hours… A wedding day can sometimes feel like a few extra hours wouldn’t go a miss. I know that even the most well executed of wedding itineraries can leave the photographer clutching for extra minutes here and there, not that it is a complaint, our jobs are to capture the day – as it unfolds. However, the pictures that are generally the heirlooms are the formal portraits and the couple portraits, so,when the bride and groom allocate extra time for these pictures I think the overall end result is better. Not the quality but the variety.
As a wedding photographer I obviously attend a lot of weddings (yes, I know this job is FAB) and a common thread that I see is the lack of time that the couple actually have together.Just the two of them.Obviously all your family and friends want to talk to you and you to them, but, and this is just a personal perspective.I think that some time together during your day, just the two of you, to soak up the moment,to appreciate each other and remember – is such a beautiful part of your day. Therefore allocating 30 to 45 minutes (more would be excellent) just for yourselves, allows you to create a much more varied and intimate portfolio of your day.
Wow – quite a big one for me. And this is just my perspective and may not be everyone’s but it is just food for thought as they…
And just a little taster from last weeks styled shoot.
I know what you mean about time… where does it go… Great blog looking forward to seeing more photos 🙂 xx
