Wedding Planning

If you would have asked me maybe a year ago, before I was engaged, before I thought about planning a wedding I would have said no, I wouldn’t use a wedding planner.  To be honest, I’m not sure if I was arranging my wedding in the UK I’d use one. But for getting married abroad I wouldn’t have it any other way and to be honest it was one of the first things I booked and paid for.

The pros of having a wedding planner:

* He/She can deal with  and recommend/source the suppliers you are looking for.

* They can be a point of contact for your guests.

* They can sort out legalities of any ceremony details – for me that’s getting married on a beach.

* You only have to deal with one person opposed to lots of others.

* Delegating the work gives you more time to enjoy idea planning

The cons of having a wedding planner:

* Additional cost. No one likes paying out any extra, but you just have to work out what getting your time back and piece of mind means to you .

I’m personally using Carla from Tucco Weddings & Events and I really the way that they have helped me so far.

Next week, I’ll be talking about how even though I love stationary I won’t be sending out any paper invites.
