I get a real buzz and sense of inspiration when I’m around people who genuinely love what they do. It rubs off on me and makes me want to do better. To do more. I met Helena at my gym a long while back. She is my Asthanga yoga teacher – and she’s brilliant. She keeps things simple and fun, but at the same time you want to push yourself.
My favourite part of the class is right at the end. Not because I’m not enjoying the flow, nope, its because of the little extra part of the Shavasana (which is basically your last pose, you lay on the floor, close your eyes and let your body relax). Helena brings round some essential oils and puts the scent of it over you and then does a little neck and shoulder adjustment which is so worth staying to the end of class for. You feel great.
Last week we decided to get together and do a little shoot. We went to an old castle and enjoyed the beautiful light. Helena runs some great classes, I’ve included the link below to her website. The Thursday one is a personal favourite – who doesn’t like pizza after a work out??
