There are people I now know, whom I have met and built friendships with that have happened purely because of the fun life that photography allows me to enjoy. People who genuinely inspire me, make me think a little different and want to be better. In love, in businesses and in life.
A few years ago, I met Sofia & Claire the owners of Ivy Florist and Sofia recently married in Vegas, then threw a party at home last week. But Sofia doesn’t throw your average party. She throws creative, FUN, crazy, drink flowing, bright lights, food truck, tables full of flowers, bucking bronco, cake a plenty, dance floor dancing, sequin wearing kind of parties. And I was lucky enough to document it all.
Wayne & Sofia, thank you SO much for the best night! Here are just a few from the fun.
Sofia surprised Wayne with a hat for the occasion..
Sofia had her makeup done by Ashley Tyrrell – who I couldn’t recommend highly enough.
It rained. And it rained some more, but it didn’t change a thing. Everyone still had the best time.
One thing that I knew was going to be good were the flowers and they did not disappoint. The tables were full of fresh flowers in an assortment of vases. The favours were also flowers that people could take home with them! Such a sweet idea. And with a glittery tag – whats not to love?!
The tassel hanging was crafted by Maria, Sofia’s mum. It looked amazing and filled the whole room.
Nadia, Sofia’s sister baked all the desserts on the table. We just became BEST friends.
There is something about these two. I love this frame.
Instead of a buffet there was food trucks – The Pizza Guy, & Bangors and Bacon.
They also hired mini which in fact was a photobooth!
… and of course there was a bucking bronco!
There is something about the moments before the ‘organised’ picture that I prefer somehow.
I want to end with this frame and say thank you to Sofia and Wayne again for letting me document their party. They are the best kind of lovely, impromptu dancing, in love pair. xx
Happy Thursday everyone xx
