A Devonshire Fell Wedding.
Last week I travelled to Burnsall for the wedding of Rhodri and Eleanor. Their wedding was in the beautiful little village of Burnsall at The Devonshire Fell, which over looks the rolling countryside and the river flowing through. It’s sometime easy to forget what a beautiful part of the world we live in, but this particular day served as a great reminder. Last Friday the weather showed it off in all it’s glory with beautiful sunshine starting the day.
Rhodri and Eleanor opted for an intimate wedding with their nearest and dearest. It was so nice to see family and friends alike mix together with ease in each others company and celebrate a truly wonderful couple.
Thank you so much Rhodri and Eleanor for allowing me to be your photographer and be able to document such a beautiful day. xxx L
The stunning bouquets were designed by The Hedgerow, Threshfield who did a fantastic job. They smelled just as good as they looked.
After the family pictures we could see the clouds starting to change colour – to a little darker! So we took a walk for some portraits.
When I am with a couple who are themselves and so comfortable with each other and being in front of the camera it makes me smile.
These guys can even make a pile of timber look great!!
Eleanor you are beautiful and your dress compliments you perfectly.
Whilst the guests enjoyed a drink or two, they had Andrew Clegg a Spanish guitarist playing in the back ground who was great. It turned my normal roaming for candids into a subtle cha cha cha!
Even when it rains ice cream is always good.
The theme of the wedding was woodland. From the stationery to the flowers to the chocolate nuts and squirrels coupled with the amazing setting – it was all beautiful and so perfect for this time of year.
Just looking at this is making me want a slice!! This fabulous creation was from Patisserie Viennoise in Otley. Delicious.
And I will leave you withe these two last frames. A beautiful place for an extremely lovely couple. xx
