I’m the first to admit that I prefer to be behind the lens. Just like everyone else, I criticize myself, I see everything that I need to change. But for some crazy reason I wanted the shoot to be documented, so I could have some images of behind the scenes. My fabulous friend Kirsten agreed to do this for me and I’m so glad she did. It’s great to see the scene as it looked, and then how the final image came out.

I’m becoming to realise and I suppose have to accept that my photographer look is much like my beach look. A mess. I wish I could be more together but I’m not. I squint, hunch, occasionally lunge, and pull faces that resemble confusion. But in between all this I some how manage to coax something from my clients and end up with pictures im proud of. So here it goes – a look behind the scenes.

I don’t think any amount of night cream is going to help with the lines im forming here…eyes and nose.nice.

For my birthday a last year my friend gave me a Sun bounce, I don’t often use it too much at weddings, but its great to bounce the light round with when you have time to play.

See the light is throws back into Maria’s face…Sometimes you need a little retouch here and there.Dont be afraid to move things to enable a better image.

Oh yeah, I get up close..

I’m the kind of person that talks with my hands ( must be the Italian side), so its no surprise that I demonstrate to my clients how I want them to stand. And the easiest way really is just to show someone. Of course I always ask permission first before I just start wrapping my arms round people;-)

The lunge position. Being a photographer is definitely not the most glamorous look.

Here I look confused. Very confused.

Here are the girls working behind the scenes. Karen, Laura and Kirsten. Thank you girls you were brilliant.

And my favourite shot  – the gang! x
