Last Friday I attending my first wedding of the year at Ripley Castle, and I was second shooting talented, crazy cat – Barnaby Aldrick. Friday as we all now was extremely snowy and cold, but that didn’t stop a fabulous wedding taking place.

My first duty of the day was to document the men getting ready. However, the groom wanted to keep himself busy so was ready extra early – before we arrived. So I started documenting what I say and it gave me time to play with some ring shots. I found an old scrabble board and thought it looked quite cute – given the bride and groom were called Rachel and James.
… I then got some relaxed portraits of James.

Big hats at weddings are fabulous!

I don’t ever want to get complacent of people saying their vows and committing to each other. I have a beautiful job and get to see so much.

Mr B, getting the crowd together for group shots and formals.

James and Rachel hired a Sax player (Rosemary Quaye) whilst people sipped on champagne and mingled.

A few fun group shots. These guys braved the cold soooo well!

Mr B, back in action. Getting a few relaxed portraits.

…. multi tasking…
I love this.
… and this.
Rachel, you are so pretty.
This was a sneaky little shot I took before they were about to go in to the reception room.

James had 3 best men, which created 3 times the laughs. They were really good fun!
Second shooting is such a different experience to being the main. Thanks B for a great day! Happy Monday. x x
