It’s quite easy to get lost in taking pictures, when it’s just for work. I’d slipped into that cycle. My camera came out when I was working and that was it. I wasn’t playing, and what’s the point in that?!
I decided that I wanted bring back a bit of fun and shoot. For no one else. Just me. Nothing fancy, just simple. A model, the light and my camera. Oh, and my front room carpet, a few lanterns and a DIY bouquet. Plus, I’ve had the most amazing Theia dress in my wardrobe for so long, just waiting to be used.
I put a call out on Instagram and Facebook to see if any one wanted to be a model for the day and Jo said yes. You wouldn’t believe it but she isn’t a real model. She got married last year and thought this would be fun, and I’m so glad that she did. She’s gorgeous.
I hooked up with my friend Brittany, a fabulous makeup artist, and we spent a couple of hours just having fun. My sister also used my back up camera and did some filming which is in the making. I realised that I SO need to do this more. And I will.
