I like documenting the preparation of the bridal party, because its fun! What is more fun than a group of girls getting ready for a wedding? It’s the time when the nerves and the excitement are beginning to mix. The final preparations are being made,more often than not bubbly is being popped and the mood and tone of the day is being set. Best friends, sisters,mothers,dads and daughters together are sharing these moments. I have brides confirm to me that when they look back at their preparation pictures they feel the giddiness coming back. The nerves. Excitement. Everything. Plus, this is a great time for me when I document some details. The shoes. The dress. Your something borrowed, something blue – the gift that he surprised you with – the flowers he sent. I say this on one of the statements on my website, that I will never ask you to pretend to apply your makeup or cut the cake. And I wont. But I will capture the day as it unfolds.
