Have you considered Calligraphy for your wedding?

For Christmas this year we wrote each other a small list of things that we would really like. It’s easy to find yourself buying and giving an item for the sake of needing to give a gift, so we thought we would help each other. One thing that I really wanted was a Calligraphy set. Or just a nice pen to get me started. Jim did well and got me a beautiful set with lots of help for beginners. But what this post is really about is not to share my christmas wish list, but to put before you a beautiful option for stationary.

I am in love with pretty writing, I think it’s an art. And once you start to practice and try yourself you realise how gifted a true calligrapher is.Like anyone who does their craft well, it can be pretty special. I see quite a lot of name tags and stationary art in the nature of my job, but I would love to see more beautiful handwriting. It’s delicate ink and whimsical form always make for something beautiful.

Through my beginners research I have started to form a pinterest board for inspiration and follow a list of people on Instagram who are doing beautiful things that makes me want to keep trying with my pens. Would you consider calligraphy for your wedding? Are you a calligrapher for weddings? Should we collaborate 😉 ?

I sometimes think that my interests are bigger that what I can do. But then I saw a quote the other day which confirmed that I can flow with as many things as I like :
